BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Dennis Bon as head of Americas, effective 1 September.

Reporting to Alessandro Gioffreda, head of territory management, Bon will assume responsibility for overseeing the bank’s growth in North and Latin America, and developing service capabilities in these regions.

Bon previously served as head of depositary and fiduciary services at the bank, based in Paris.

He will replace Claudine Gallagher, who has been appointed chief conduct and controls officer for CIB Americas and BNP Paribas USA.

Gioffreda commented: “We are delighted to welcome Dennis Bon to his new role. His many years of strategic and business management expertise in the securities services industry will be a great asset to lead this fast-growing region.”

The appointment follows an expansion by BNP Paribas Securities Services into the Americas in the last decade, with local custody launched in the US, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico.
