Clive Bellows named chair of CIFD Advisory Committee

The Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD) Advisory Committee has appointed Clive Bellows as chair.
Currently, Bellows is head of GFS Europe, Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust, with overall responsibility for leading the company’s fund administration and depositary business in the UK, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Netherlands and Guernsey.
In a statement, Mary O’Dea, chief executive of the Institute of Banking, said: “As past president of IOB and a CIFD Alumni, Bellows brings a unique combination of vast experience in the funds and asset management industry combined with a passion for lifelong learning and professional standards.”
O’Dea noted that Bellows will be joined on the committee by new appointees Martina Kelly, Dr Blanaid Clarke and Dr Margaret Fitzsimons.
Established in June 2015, the CIFD Institute is a global, not-for-profit community of investment fund directors offering specialist qualification in investment fund governance.
The Advisory Committee of CIFD is drawn from the global community of industry experts in asset management, investment funds and securities markets regulation.
