BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Anthony McDonald to head up its new Hong Kong agency securities lending desk.
The launch of the new agency securities lending desk is an expansion on BNP Paribas’ market and financing services for clients in Asia Pacific (APAC).
In the newly created role, McDonald will focus on trading activities and developing services for institutional lenders and borrowers in the region.
He will report to Natalie Floate, APAC head of market and financing services at BNP Paribas Securities Services, and globally to Andrew Geggus, global head of agency lending trading at BNP Paribas Securities Services.
McDonald joins BNP Paribas Securities Services from SEB. He has worked in the equity finance segment for over 20 years, starting his career in London before moving to Hong Kong.
