Sven Ludwig (pictured left) has departed FIS to join ifb group as senior advisor for governance, risk and compliance.

Ludwig, who worked at FIS for more than 14 years, most recently worked as strategy director.

He also served as global head of subject matter experts and advisory, managing director, head of small and medium enterprises risk management and analytics, among other roles at FIS.

Commenting on his departure, Ludwig highlights: “I have had the privilege to work with passioned and fantastic teams around the world. I have had the opportunity of working directly for great leaders. Many of those became CEOs at other respected companies.”

Based in Germany, Ludwig will report to Claus Stegmann (pictured right), co-CEO of ifb group.

He will join ifb group's vision and communication horizontal to drive the firm's expansion and growth initiative.

Speaking to AST, Ludwig explains that the financial market has a ‘big bang’ ahead and a new financial market is on the horizon.

He says: “Organisations are growing substantially but also supporting the economy, particularly the banks and implicitly asset managers and insurers. We are currently in a period where banks as well as the buy side are in the centre stage for helping the economy but also to navigate us to the carbon-neutral economy as such, both are very important initiatives.”

“We have this ‘big bang’ of the new financial market, and in order to transition successfully, we need to change and help our financial organisations to transform. This means there is a need to combine advance technology (big data, machine learning, cloud, etc.) with deep knowledge of the division within the business,” he adds.

Ludwig highlights: “I am really happy to be to help and advise on a global level that’s much more scalable than ever before.”

“I have the pleasure to team up with stunning experienced and entrepreneurial colleagues, all with a unique drive for innovation and focus on sustainable customer value creation: ifb group, a global, substantial, compact advisory organisation.”

“I could not be more excited joining ifb group transforming times”, he adds.

With more than 30 years of financial experience, Stegmann says that although the company reacted well, the pandemic forced businesses to change and move to the next step.

As part of this next step, Stegmann explains: “Ludwig will be one of the main components to help develop new client relationships and to broaden the firm’s client spectrum as well as using his experience to enhance its product portfolio.”
