CrossTower recruits Greg Bunn

CrossTower, a global digital asset trading platform, has hired Greg Bunn as head of capital markets.

In his new role, Bunn will help build out CrossTower Capital Markets, a one-stop-shop for digital asset-focused institutions and traders seeking securities lending and trading finance, asset origination on funds and bespoke products, best execution and reporting.

Based in Jersey City in the US, Bunn will report to Cross Tower’s co-founder and chief executive officer Kapil Rathi, and co-founder and president Kristin Boggiano.

Bunn joins CrossTower from Citadel, an American multinational hedge fund and financial services company, where he was head of central funding and counterparty strategy, based in New York.

Prior to Citadel, he was managing director, global co-head of prime finance at Deutsche Bank.

Bunn worked at Deutsche Bank from 1999 to 2018 and held several roles during this time including managing director, global head, financial resource management and managing director, strategic transactions.

He started his career as a manager at KPMG, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services. He worked here between 1993 and 1998, based in Johannesburg Area, South Africa.

Commenting on his new appointment at CrossTower, Bunn says: “Being part of a team building the next evolution of financial markets is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I’m glad to have. This is an exciting time to be in digital asset markets, as we’ve reached an inflection point where institutions have begun to buy in, and many others are taking notice. The future is bright, and we are leading the way.”
