Cooper Wood & Associates continues team expansion

Nick Emmins, a market practitioner and non-executive director of Lazards Fund Managers, has joined Cooper Wood & Associates as an independent senior associate.
With more than 35 years of experience, Emmins joins after working for a combination of insurance companies, asset managers, asset servicing firms and an international fund platform.
During his career, he has worked at M&G, BNP Paribas Asset Management, RBC Investor & Treasury Services and Allfunds.
He has also managed a number of asset manager outsourcing projects and has been part of building a successful European fund platform business.

Meanwhile, Rod Cooper, partner of the UK asset servicing consultancy, states: “Emmins is also an experienced independent non-executive director and brings with him valuable insight into the increasing importance and responsibility of iNEDS and their role in Value Assessment for which we already provide advice, independent audit, and review, for fund managers.”
Cooper Wood & Associates was launched in June 2020 by Cooper and Wood and specialises in asset servicing.
Both Wood and Cooper have a combined experience of over 50 years and have spent this period working at the epicentre of asset servicing, both as suppliers and clients.
The UK consultancy recently hired Glen Townsend as an independent senior associate.
Previously, Townsend worked as a senior client director at Aberdeen Standard Investments in London and Luxembourg.
Last year, Mark Friend, former chief operating officer of Premier Asset Management, also joined as an independent senior associate.
