Maples Group has bolstered its team with the appointment of Yuri Schuurman as senior vice president and head of the Netherlands office.

Schuurman brings in-depth knowledge on matters related to legal compliance, finance, and complex international corporate structuring, among other areas of expertise.

He has held a number of senior roles with a multi-jurisdictional corporate services provider where he managed large teams servicing a multi-national client portfolio.

Schuurman will be responsible for driving the group's strategy and growing its Netherlands business, while ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of work and client service.

Licensed and regulated by the Dutch Central Bank as a trust office, the Netherlands office provides a range of fiduciary services including registered office, directorship and other corporate administration services to special purpose vehicles and Dutch holding companies.

Tom Davies, global head of fiduciary for the Maples Group, says: "Over the last five years, the Maples Group has solidified its position as one of the leading fiduciary services providers in the Netherlands and we continue to see significant opportunities for our business."

Davies adds: "We look forward to Yuri Schuurman's leadership as we navigate the next phase of our growth in this thriving market and are confident that we will continue to deliver outstanding service and best-in-class solutions to our clients with Netherlands-specific requirements."

Maples Group offers its clients legal services on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Jersey and Luxembourg and is a provider of fiduciary, fund services, regulatory and compliance, and entity formation and management services.
