Ryan Taylor has left his role as director at ZEDRA to join Suntera Global as head of funds for Jersey.
In his new position, Taylor will grow the firm’s client base and establish its funds business in Jersey, with overall responsibility for developing and managing the new fund administration team in the jurisdiction.
Working closely with funds heads in other jurisdictions, Taylor will be focused on maximising Suntera Global’s multi-jurisdictional offering through Jersey to meet fund manager and investor needs.
An experienced fund professional having worked in Jersey’s fund, trust and fiduciary sector since 2005, Taylor has particular specialist expertise in fund administration, accounting and governance.
In addition to his funds knowledge, he also has considerable operational and systems experience including process design.
At ZEDRA, Taylor was a director of fund services in Jersey. He has also held several senior positions in Jersey’s financial services space, including heading up the trust and funds client accounting team for a Jersey-based service provider and acting as a director on a number of corporate and fund client boards.
Taylor’s appointment comes shortly after Suntera Global was granted a licence by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) to provide fund administration services in Jersey.
This enables it to support private equity, real estate, venture capital and other alternative fund managers with a full range of administration services.
Paul Mundy, managing director of the funds division at Suntera Global, comments: “I’m delighted to welcome Ryan Taylor to our growing funds team.”
Mundy states: “His experience and expertise will be critical as we look to achieve our ambition to grow our Jersey funds proposition significantly over the coming months, complementing our existing funds capabilities in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas and Isle of Man.”
Meanwhile, Taylor adds: “I’m excited by the vision of the team at Suntera Global as we remain focused on building out our funds business further over the coming months by supporting managers in particular across the private equity, venture capital and infrastructure asset classes and in the emerging environmental, social and governance and impacting space.”
