Mike Cowley joins Citi

Citi has appointed Mike Cowley as global head of asset services product development, based in London.
He takes up this position after a 15-year term at Deutsche Bank, most recently as global head of custody and domestic fund services operations.
Prior to this, Cowley headed Deutsche’s Direct Securities Services (DSS) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) from 2007 to 2014, leading the DSS team from the bank’s Dubai office.
He has played an important role in the development of securities services activities and post-trade infrastructure in the MENA region, having also served for three years as head of market operations for the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Cowley began his financial services career in 1993 as an analyst with Merrill Lynch.
