Deutsche Börse has appointed Marc Peter Klein as managing director of group compliance, effective January 2023.

Klein will join Deutsche Börse from Deutsche Bank where he spent the last seven years as part of the anti financial crime advisory team and as deputy regional head and accredited financial counsellor for Germany.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Klein held several senior positions at financial institutions in Germany and Luxembourg, including Barclays.

Klein is a qualified and certified lawyer in bank and capital markets law.

Heike Eckert, member of the executive board of Deutsche Börse responsible for HR and compliance, says: “[Marc Peter Klein’s] long standing expertise will be a welcome addition to group compliance. I am looking forward to the contributions he will make to further strengthen the integrity of our business.”
