Citi welcomes Md. Moinul Huq as Bangladesh country officer

Citi has appointed Md. Moinul Huq as Citi country officer for Bangladesh.

As country officer, Huq will lead the Citi franchise in Bangladesh and will be responsible for Citi’s business and governance in the country.

Other responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, regulators, government institutions and other stakeholders.

Huq has more than 25 years of experience in cash management, trade services, export agency finance, agency and trust and operations and technology.

Huq began his tenure with Citi in 2002 and became lead of transaction banking business (treasury and trade solutions) Bangladesh in 2012.

Before that he worked for Al Baraka Bank and Dhaka Bank. He has also worked on many structured trade deals including foreign agency-backed financing.
