FIS reshuffles board

Jeffrey Goldstein has been appointed independent chairman of FIS’ board of directors, effective 16 December 2022. The appointment is part of the financial services technology provider’s transition to an independent board chair structure.
Alongside Goldstein, Stephanie Ferris, recently named CEO of FIS, will replace Gary Norcross as a member of the board.
Goldstein is currently a senior advisor to venture capital firm Canapi Ventures and advisor emeritus at investment firm Hellman & Friedman. He has held a series of senior roles throught his career, including managing director of the World Bank and counselor to the secretary of the Treasury.
Commenting on the changes, Goldstein says: “FIS is well positioned for growth across our markets and we are moving forward with this new board leadership structure from a position of great opportunity.
“On behalf of the board, I thank Gary for his unwavering commitment. He and Stephanie have worked to ensure a seamless transition for our clients, colleagues, shareholders and partners.”
Ferris adds: “I am honoured to serve as CEO of FIS during such an important and exciting phase. I look forward to leading this organisation as we build on our momentum and continue to create value for our clients, partners, colleagues and shareholders.”
