Daniel Moran has been appointed as chief compliance officer at ASX, effective 1 January 2023. He has held the role in an acting capacity since October 2022.
Moran joined ASX in 2010 as a deputy general counsel for the corporate division, before being promoted to group general counsel and company secretary in 2017.
ASX has faced significant criticism in recent weeks, following the halt of its CHESS replacement programme in November. After several years of work on the new network and approximately A$250 million lost, many have questioned the organisation’s methods.
Moran’s promotion follows ASX’s appointment of Tim Whitely as project director for the next iteration of the CHESS replacement project.
