State Street joins ISSA board

ISSA has appointed State Street as a member organisation of its board of directors, effective immediately. Chris Rowland, senior vice president and head of custody product at State Street, will serve as the bank’s representative on the board.

Rowland has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial industry, holding senior roles at J.P. Morgan before joining State Street in 2021.

The ISSA board is responsible for ensuring that the association is “fit for the 21st Century,” including maintaining diversity and managing the business and affairs of its operations.

Commenting on his appointment, Rowland says: “I have been working with ISSA for a number of years and am excited to have joined the board to support ISSA in shaping the future of securities services with our peers across the globe.”

Phil Brown, ISSA chair, adds: "State Street joining the ISSA board is another sign of industry confidence in ISSA’s ability to drive change in the industry by collaborating with the world’s best custody firms. We are delighted to have Chris on the board.”
