SSBI appoints Andreas Przewloka as CEO

State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) has appointed Andreas Przewloka as executive vice president and CEO. He will report to Joerg Ambrosius, chief commercial officer and chairman of the SSBI board.
In the Germany-based role, Przewloka will lead SSBI’s custody and investment servicing business in Continental Europe. He replaces Stefan Gmuer, CEO for the past two decades.
Przewloka has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, joining SSBI from UBS. Most recently, he was operating head for Europe and chief operating officer for UBS Europe SE. Prior to this he spent almost a decade at Accenture, where he was a management consultant and international partner.
Commenting on the appointment, Ambrosius says: “Andreas brings the financial services experience and leadership needed to continue to drive State Street’s strategy and growth across Continental Europe.
“He is a seasoned and well-respected executive, known for delivering client results, embracing innovation and having a keen understanding of the changing EMEA regulatory environment that will prove critical as we further strengthen our leadership position.”
