Consultancy and technology solution provider Novatus Advisory (Novatus) has made two appointments to its leadership team, in an effort to enhance its growth strategy while maintaining its service levels.
Will Basnet has been named head of advisory. He will be responsible for leading the consultancy practice, expanding the advisory practice and scaling existing services.
Basnet brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, joining the company from asset and wealth management consultancy firm Alpha FMC. Prior to this, he has held roles at IBM Global Services, KPMG and Elixirr.
Richard Street joins Novatus as chief revenue officer for the company’s regtech division. He will be responsible for the business division’s growth and the regulatory compliance of the company’s transaction reporting analysis tool.
Street has more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving as head of sales for risk management software firm ControlNet. He spent the majority of his career with Citi, moving to RBC I&TS as global head of client coverage in 2016.
The announcement follows Maven Capital’s July 2022 investment in Novatus, which has allowed the company to double its headcount and improve delivery capacity.
Andrew Hedlet, partner and co-founder of Novatus, comments: “Both [Will and Richard] bring unique strengths and a wealth of experience to the business to support our expanding team and allow Novatus to continue delivering the best results for our clients. It is exciting to see the trajectory for Novatus across the advisory and regtech divisions of our business.”
Matthew Ranson, partner and co-founder of Novatus, says: “The past year has seen Novatus go from strength to strength. Our partnership with Maven and influx of skills to the team will enable the continued growth and evolution of the company. Our ambition is to be the market leading advisory and regtech firm.”
