Fund services and solutions provider Ocorian has named Paul Spendiff as head of business development for global funds, based in London.

Spendiff has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, and joins Ocorian from FundRock. At the company, he was group head of sales, marketing and client services before becoming managing director and global head for strategic development management companies.

Prior to this, Spendiff spent 10 years with Apex Group in a variety of senior roles, including managing director, head of European sales and global head of the strategic client group.

Commenting on his appointment, Spendiff says: “Ocorian has a strong track record and reputation for delivering operational excellence across its fund administration and alternative investment fund management business and I look forward to working with its team of fund professionals across all major asset classes of alternative investment funds.”

Simon Behan, chief commercial officer at Ocorian, adds: “Paul is an experienced managing director and entrepreneur and his extensive experience of supporting blue-chip clients from around the world to establish fund structures is an ideal fit with our rapidly expanding business.”
