Managed security services provider (MSSP) SecurityHQ has received CREST’s Securities Operation Centre (SOC) accreditation in recognition of its committed and consistent approach to the improvements of data and cyber security services.

CREST’s audit scored SecurityHQ highly on service attributes from service delivery, assurance, threat intel, investigation and detection capabilities.

CREST reassesses its accredited organisations every three years, ensuring that members’ knowledge is up to date in a rapidly changing environment. Certified individuals are required to sit examinations to demonstrate their knowledge and competence.

Chris Chetne, chief technology officer at SecurityHQ, says: “SecurityHQ are among a small number of organisations to have achieved CREST’s Security Operation Centre accreditation and demonstrate the high maturity of our service offering. SecurityHQ passed the audit with a Capability Maturity Model Integration of the highest maturity rating of fives and fours across the board.”

Rowland Johnson, president of CREST, adds: “SOC validation puts the company in a strong position to meet the growing global demand for high-quality, trusted managed SOC services.

“An effective SOC is critical for underpinning incident detection and response capabilities to combat increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks. CREST accreditation provides independent, verifiable quality assurance so buyers can have confidence in the services SecurityHQ is providing.”
