Administration, corporate and fiduciary services firm Ocorian has appointed Ross Thomson as business development director for fund services.

Based in Luxembourg, Thomson has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having worked across the Canadian, Irish and Luxembourg markets.

Specialising in alternative funds, private equity and real estate products, Thomson’s experience includes managing operation functions in both the alternative investment fund (AIF) manager and fund administration sectors.

He has held directorships in the Luxembourg and Irish UCITS/AIF space as well as conducting officer roles in Luxembourg.

Commenting on his new role, Thomson says: “It is an ideal time to be joining Ocorian as confidence across the sector increases and I look forward to supporting clients and experts across our business as the company delivers its growth strategy.”

Paul Spendiff, head of business development, fund services at Ocorian, comments: “Ross’s appointment further strengthens our support for fund managers as Ocorian Fund Services continues to invest in its offering in Luxembourg in response to growing demand across the market.”
