Alternative fund services provider Ocorian has appointed Eamon Burns as global head of fund accounting.

Burns has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, and joins Ocorian from BNY Mellon. He spent almost a decade with the company at its Dublin office as EMEA head of private markets accounting.

Prior to this, Burns was a fund accounting manager at State Street and a vice president at Goldman Sachs.

Commenting on his appointment, Burns says: “I look forward to leading our global teams of fund administration experts as we continue to deliver service excellence across our fund administration and accounting services to the world’s largest financial institutions as well as dynamic start-up fund managers and boutique houses.”

Yegor Lanovenko, co-head of fund services at Ocorian, adds: “The appointment of Eamon emphasises our focus on continuing to deliver excellence in accounting services, technological innovation and automation in partnership with our clients, building on a strong track record across all private asset classes and domiciles.”
