IT services and consulting firm Pirum has appointed Jonathan Ford as head of fixed income.

Based in London, Ford is responsible for the company’s global fixed income operations.

Ford has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, and joins Pirum from RBC Capital Markets where he spent more than eight years as a managing director and head of fixed income financing sales. Prior to this, he was a managing director at both Barclays Capital and Nomura International.

Commenting on his appointment, Ford says: “Fixed income collateral and repo will be the next beneficiaries of Pirum’s technology and solutions. In a zero-rate environment the cost of inefficiency could be tolerated, that is not the case anymore. Pirum’s got the solution.”

Phil Morgan, Pirum CEO, states: "Given the growth of Pirum’s repo and fixed income products, I am delighted to welcome Jon to the team to further accelerate progress. Jon’s network and understanding of the fixed income ecosystem [will] further develop our footprint.”
