Maples Group has appointed Marc Randall as senior vice president for its Jersey Fiduciary Services team as it continues to expand its presence in the region.
In the role, Randall will serve as a non-executive director for a portfolio of corporate and finance client entities, and will act as a principal person for the company’s local fiduciary services business.
Randall has two decades of industry experience, and has been a part of Maples Group since 2008. He relocates to Jersey from the Cayman Islands, where he was head of liquidations. Prior to this he spent time in the audit and accounting sector, serving at restructuring and insolvency firm Kroll Zolfo Cooper and PPB Advisory (now a part of PwC Australia).
The appointment follows growth in the firm’s Jersey fiduciary services business, driven by a demand for specialist, Jersey-domiciled corporate vehicles and management services within cross-border financial structures, Maples Group says.
In July, Maples Group vice president Sheraim Mascal joined the Jersey office from the firm’s Cayman outpost, while Glenn Boddie joined the company as vice president in March.
Robert Lucas, senior vice president and head of the Jersey fiduciary group, says: “Given the substantial growth in our business over the past 18 months, it is essential we have the right professionals in place to support our clients’ business objectives in a constantly changing regulatory landscape. We are delighted to bring these senior practitioners from our Group offices to Jersey, as well as making a significant investment in the best local talent.”
