Marsha Lee changes role at Calastone

Calastone has appointed Marsha Lee as head of its Australia and New Zealand business. She replaces Teresa Walker.

Based in Sydney, Lee will oversee the global fund network’s continued growth in the region, working with fund manager, platform administrator and unit registry clients to support new business initiatives.

Lee has more than 15 years of industry experience, and has been with Calastone since 2017. Most recently she was a managing director at the firm, before which she was director of customer relationship management.

Earlier in her career, Lee spent more than a decade with HSBC as a client service manager and assistant manager broker-dealer.

Commenting on her appointment, Lee says: “As the digitalisation of managed funds gathers pace, we are further innovating and transforming the ways in which the industry connects and delivers value to investors. Our team in Australia is very excited to collaborate with both clients in the region and our global team as the business expands to drive the next evolution of products, including cash settlements, ETF servicing, and tokenisation of collective investment vehicles.”

Brian Godins, chief commercial officer, states: “Marsha has been instrumental in embedding Calastone as the processing heart of Australasia’s managed funds sector and is very well placed to keep expanding the business into deeper and new segments.

“[We] thank Teresa for her contribution and efforts in growing the business and driving our positive client engagement.”
