The Bank of London appoints Frankie Woodhead

The Bank of London has appointed Frankie Woodhead as chief product officer, effective immediately.

In the role, Woodhead will be responsible for product vision, development and delivery across the UK bank and wider group.

Woodhead has close to 15 years of industry experience and joins The Bank of London from 10x Banking, where he was vice president and general manager for retail and small-to medium-sized enterprises (SME) banking. He has spent more than five years with the firm, holding senior roles including senior director of product and engineering for the 10x SuperCore and Lending business and global head of client success.

Prior to this Woodhead spent a decade with Barclays, most latterly as product director for SME lending. He was also product director for growth, authentication, payments and customer servicing, and spent time as both a product manager and a senior product manager.

Woodhead also currently serves as a non-executive advisor for learning management system Thrive.

Commenting on his appointment, Woodhead says: “I’m honoured to take on this role at such a key time for the industry and the growing bank. Having seen the direct client and customer impact of financial crises, it’s clear the world of banking needs to be fundamentally changed to be safer and more transparent. [The Bank of London] has a bold vision and a product roadmap to completely change the banking landscape. I look forward to working with the team in delivering it.”

Anthony Watson, group chief executive and founder of The Bank of London, states: “The Bank of London’s vision is to change the face of banking by making it safer for its clients. [Woodhead’s] extensive experience and forward-thinking mindset will make a major contribution to bringing our vision to life. His appointment also comes at an exciting time as we push further into our home market and prepare to take The Bank of London to new regions outside the UK.”
