Zodia Markets has appointed Mark Richardson as CEO, alongside his role as chief commercial officer for Zodia Markets group. He succeeds Michael Walsh as chief executive, with Walsh moving to the position of executive chair.
In their new roles, Richardson and Walsh will oversee Zodia Markets Ireland’s governance, vision, strategic execution and spearhead growth in Ireland and the EU, says Zodia Markets.
Zodia Markets also welcomes Lucia della Ventura as head of compliance, Ireland, highlighting the group's commitment to maintaining a compliance programme.
Commenting on his new role, Richardson shares: “I am honoured to [recognise] the critical importance of bolstering our European footprint, especially as we navigate the transition to a MiCA-regulated business.”
Ventura adds: “I look forward to leading the development of the European compliance function for Zodia Markets against a backdrop of significant regulatory change. As we plan our expansion in Europe, it presents an opportunity for our firm to empower institutional clients with simplified and safer access to digital assets.”
