Fenergo has appointed Ruth Ormsby as managing director of EMEA to drive expansion in the region.

She will be responsible for strengthening Fenergo’s presence in the corporate and institutional banking sector.

The provider of digital solutions points to regulatory changes as the key reason for an increased demand —- cutting the EU’s AML measures and the proposed changes to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Financial Crime Guide.

Chris Zingo, chief revenue officer at Fenergo, explains: “Our markets are undergoing unprecedented changes, driven by the accelerated pace of technology innovation and a highly volatile regulatory landscape. Fenergo is forging a new path to client lifecycle management on the cloud, leveraging regulatory requirements as boundary conditions for innovation, and transforming the overall client journey.”

Ormsby has over two decades of experience and joins from Salesforce, where she served as senior vice president of all industries in the UK and Ireland.

On her task ahead, Ormsby comments: “It has never been more important for financial institutions and corporates across the region to deploy sophisticated technology to meet regulators’ growing requirements”.
