New head of securities and fund services at Citi

Sanjiv Sawhney will be Citi’s new head of securities and fund services for the EMEA region.
In this new role, Sawhney will lead the growth of Citi’s regional securities and fund services platform and product offering for investor, issuer and intermediary clients across EMEA.
He will sit on Citi’s transaction services EMEA executive committee and Citi’s global securities and fund services executive committee.
Sawhney will report to Aidan Brady and Elias Panayotopoulos, co-heads of Citi transaction services in EMEA and Neeraj Sahai, global head of securities and fund services.
“Sanjiv’s successful track record in running global businesses will be instrumental in expanding our EMEA franchise,” said Neeraj Sahai.
“With the industry's largest proprietary network-spanning 60 markets globally and 34 across EMEA, Sanjiv has the expertise to leverage these resources and strategically drive the growth of our regional platform.”
Most recently Sawhney was global head of fund services at Citi. He previously worked at J.P. Morgan, where he headed fund services operations in Europe and was managing director as well as a board member of J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg.
