HSBC makes Roy Zimmerhansl global head of securities lending

Roy Zimmerhansl will become global head of securities lending at HSBC Securities Services on 1 March.
He will report to John van Verre, head of global custody and treasury services.
A HSBC Securities Services spokesperson said: “[Zimmerhansl] will lead the area as the bank increases its investment in the client securities lending business in response to increased client demand and in recognition that an enhanced securities lending capability is integral to the growth of the global custody business.”
With Zimmerhansl’s arrival at HSBC Securities Services, former global head of securities lending Wayne Burlingham becomes head of securities lending product management.
He will report into Zimmerhansl and focus on the development of the securities lending product.
He will report to John van Verre, head of global custody and treasury services.
