Andrea Sturm has been named BNY Mellon’s new head of sales for asset servicing in the German speaking and central and Southeastern European region.

She will report to Thomas Brand, head of investment services at BNY Mellon for the German and central and Southeastern European region.

Sturm joins the firm from Portigon AG where she was head of sales and relationship management for the depotbanking business.

Brand said: “Sturm is a seasoned industry insider and expert in respect of depotbank services and we are very pleased to add her deep and broad experience of the financial services industry to our team here in Frankfurt.”

“Sturm will play a key role both in terms of driving client solutions around the latest regulatory challenges and strengthening our offering to institutional investors as we continue to build out our broader investment services offering in Germany and the surrounding region.”
