Citi hires Jervis Smith

Jervis Smith is Citi's new regional head of client sales management for the financial institutions (FI) segment in Asia Pacific for securities and fund services.
Jervis will be responsible for managing sales and client coverage teams across the the securities and fund services business in 17 markets in Asia Pacific, and will report to David Russell, regional head of Asia Pacific for securities and fund Services, and Dirk Jones, global head of FI.
He will also be a member of the Citi Transaction Services Asia Pacific management team.
“Smith brings with him almost 30 years of banking experience and a deep knowledge of the securities and fund services business, having served most recently as the global client executive head for our SFS business based in London. Under Jervis’ leadership, we will be looking to expand our securities and fund services across Asia Pacific and enhance our ability to create solutions that holistically address client needs across our full range of capabilities and solutions,” said Russell.
Smith, who relocates from London, joined Citi in 1994 and has held a number of sales and relationship management roles for FI at Citi in London and New York. Prior to joining Citi, he served as executive director of the Financial and General Bank, based in London.
