Kistler and Crosland move up the ladder at Carey Olsen

Carey Olsen has promoted Andreas Kistler and David Crosland as partners, effective 1 July 2013. The firm now has 40 partners across offices in the British Virgin Islands, Cape Town, Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and London.

Andreas Kistler in Jersey is the newest partner in the litigation group and Guernsey-based David Crosland has been made up in the corporate group of the firm.

Advocate Kistler, who qualified as a Jersey advocate earlier this year, joined Carey Olsen in 2005 from the commercial litigation department of a New Zealand law firm. He spent several years practising from the London office of Carey Olson, before moving to the Jersey office in 2011.

He represents clients on a broad cross-section of contentious work as well as in non-contentious court proceedings including trustee court applications, the use of schemes of arrangement in corporate takeovers and post-listing reductions of capital.

Advocate Crosland trained with Clifford Chance in London qualifying into their private funds group in 2004. He joined the corporate group of Carey Olson in 2007 and qualified as a Guernsey advocate in 2011. He advises fund managers and financial services firms on the launch, administration, restructuring and listing of closed and open-ended investment funds.
