BDO LLP has appointed Chris Bellairs as partner in its financial services practice.
Bellairs has more than 16 years of experience as an auditor and advisor in financial services.
He joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he where he led the insurance and investment management internal audit advisory service, and acted as senior statutory auditor on a number of external audits in the fund management sector, across traditional asset managers, private equity, real estate and hedge fund managers.
Bellairs commented on the firm and his new role: “BDO is a fantastic brand and an excellent financial services team; the practice is growing exponentially and I am excited about the opportunities this brings.”
The hire follows the recent appointment of Leigh Wormald as a financial services partner, and Mark Hunt, who leads BDO’s financial services practice.
Hunt added: “Bellairs’s skills and experience across the sector are crucial to our plans to increase market opportunities for the practice, and complement our existing financial services offering.”
