London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has appointed Mark Hoban to the board as a non-executive director, with immediate effect.
Hoban brings experience of UK politics, economics and market regulation to the role.
He is an accountant and current conservative member of parliament who served as financial secretary to the treasury and minister of employment.
Chris Gibson-Smith, chairman of LSEG, commented: “His experience will be of great value as we drive our business forward in an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory environment.”
