SGSS Italy promotes T2S specialist

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) in Italy has appointed Cristina Belotti as head of financial institutions and brokers.
She previously served as sales and relationship manager and head of TARGET2-Securities (T2S), but has now joined the global financial institutions and brokers team, led by Guillaume Heraud.
The move comes in time for the launch of T2S in Italy, which is scheduled to launch with the first wave in June.
Heraud said: “Cristina Belotti will pursue the development of our dedicated suite of services allowing financial institutions and brokers to fully benefit from the T2S platform and support their cross-border settlements and liquidity management, as well as to provide them with significant asset servicing expertise.”
He added: “As a directly connected participant to this ground-breaking platform, SGSS will provide access to all key markets as they join progressively, starting with the Italian and Swiss markets in June, thus allowing them to benefit from T2S’ functionalities and processes.”
Belotti’s role commenced on 1 January, and she is based in SGSS’s Milan office.
