OCC has appointed Luke Moranda as senior vice president and chief information officer.

Moranda will direct the OCC's technology vision and strategy, and lead the transformation of world-class systems and services to meet the needs of OCC clearing members.

He will replace Raymond Tamayo, who is retiring this year. Moranda will report to Michael McClain, president and COO at OCC.

Moranda joins OCC from J.P Morgan Chase, where served as managing director of clearing technology and global payments technology.

His responsibilities at J.P Morgan included leading the technology effort for global payment strategy, processing the movement of up to $5 trillion per day in real-time wires, and supporting the global movement of up to $10 trillion per day in US and US dollar equivalents.

Craig Donohue, OCC executive chairman, commented: "We are pleased that Moranda has agreed to join our leadership team. He brings a proven track record of success in driving technology change in a critical business environment that requires exceptional levels of resiliency.”
