SS&C hires Shepro to head new unit

SS&C has launched its new business unit dedicated to the private capital market, and hired Bob Shepro to lead it as senior vice president.

The unit will focus on supporting family offices, foundations and endowments, and is designed use SS&C’s products and services to create custom-made solutions for market participants around the world.

Shepro has a history with SS&C; after SS&C acquired his company Shepro Braun Systems, he joined the firm as head of product strategy. He will now re-join from Windward Advisory Group, where he was a managing partner.

Bill Stone, chairman and CEO of SS&C Technologies, said: "Our integrated suite of cloud applications and services, including the addition of Advent’s solutions for the family office market, put us in a strong position to deliver benefits including greater levels of control, efficiency, timeliness and cost reduction.”

“[Shepro] is very talented and proven in this industry and we wanted to bring in the best person to head this important new initiative for us."

Shepro added: "I am impressed with the scope of services and market-leading cloud-based software products that SS&C has acquired, integrated and enhanced over the years."

He said: "Through our co-sourced technology and services platform, SS&C is ideally positioned to offer bespoke solutions to deliver efficiency savings and meet the unique needs of family offices and other private capital firms."
