Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has hired Stephen Doyle as head of institutional sales for asset managers and insurers in the UK and Ireland.

He joins from Northern Trust where he was sales manager for global fund services in the UK.

In his new role, based in London, Doyle will be responsible for commercial development of SGSS’s UK asset management and insurance sectors. He will report to Michael Le Garignon, head of sales, business development and relationship management.

Le Garignon said: “The UK is a leading global financial services centre and the second largest fund management market in the world.”

He added: “Following our approval from the UK regulators to offer trustee and depositary services in the UK for UCITS and alternative investment funds, SGSS is investing to provide operational efficiencies and global expertise through a range of integrated client solutions, including strategic outsourcing solutions, to asset managers and insurers in the UK.”
