Broadridge has expanded its managed data service offering, appointing Robert Revesz as senior director of client services.

Based in New York, Revesz will focus on reference data services and implementation, and will be responsible for delivering the benefits of a managed reference data service to Broadridge’s entire global client base.

He spent the last 15 years at Asset Control, most recently holding the position of vice president and service director for the Americas.

In his new role, he joins Nathan Wolaver, Michael Sunwoo and Tim Versteeg, who were also recently recruited from Asset Control.

Charlie Marchesani, president of global technology and operations at Broadridge, said: “We’re growing our managed data service team at a critical time for banks, broker-dealers and asset managers as they look to mutualise their reference data capabilities and re-orient to a managed service model.”

The Broadridge managed data service is designed to help clients improve the quality of their enterprise reference data, and to reduce operational cost of ownership. A customisable platform allows for scale and cost efficiencies, all under a particular governance model.

Bennett Egeth, president of Broadridge investment management for reference data and risk solutions, said: “Banks have started to better understand the expense of data infrastructure and the cost of poor data quality across the enterprise, which makes the economics of a managed data service quite compelling.”

He added: “Broadridge has the technology solutions and managed service experience to help firms drive down cost, deliver enhanced service levels and demonstrate significant improvements in data quality.”
