SIX has appointed Daniel Schmucki as its new CFO and member of the group executive board.
Schmucki is currently CFO and deputy CEO at Flughafen Zürich, a position he has held since 2008, and is expected to take up his new role at SIX by 1 April 2017.
He will replace current SIX CFO Stefan Mäder who, according to a SIX statement, “is leaving the company at his own request”, and will continue in the position until a handover is complete.
According to SIX, Schmucki has significant experience in financial management and in developing infrastructure platform. He has been responsible for fee management, information and communication technology, and risk and compliance management.
Before joining Flughafen Zürich, Schmucki spent 14 years at German Bosch Group, where he held several senior positions including CFO of Robert Bosch Internationale Beteiligungen and head of division controlling at Scintilla.
