SIX Group CEO joins WFE

Urs Rüegsegger, group CEO of SIX Group, has been appointed as vice chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges.
The federation represents more than 200 market infrastructure providers, including exchanges and central counterparties. It provides exchange-traded statistics based on 40 years of data, and publishes market data indicators, as well as insight pieces.
Rüegsegger joined SIX in 1993 as head of accounting and risk management. He was appointed to the executive committee in 1997 and has been CEO of the group since 2008.
