Markus Ruetimann has joined the board of Global Prime Partners (GPP) as senior non-executive director.

Previously Group COO of Schroders, Ruetimann has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years.

He spent five years as global head of technology and portfolio services at UBS Global Asset Management, and before this he was COO of Phillips & Drew.

Julian Parker, chief executive of GPP, said: “We saw record growth in 2016 and are well positioned to take advantage of opportunities in the near term.”

“Having someone of Markus Ruetimann’s calibre will be invaluable as we continue our expansion, starting with the launch of our structured products business in early 2017.”
