AxiomSL has appointed Patrick Ward as head of business and partnership strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Ward will be responsible for developing strategic global relationships and identify further development opportunities for the firm.

Prior to joining AxiomSL, Ward served as managing director at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he worked for 39 years.

Most recently, he led J.P. Morgan Chase’s global regulatory technology strategy and programme delivery across the US, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Ed Royan, CEO of AxiomSL EMEA, said: “At AxiomSL, we are continuously working to add the best of breed from both IT and banking to our firm and Ward brings with him invaluable banking experience and knowledge that will greatly support our growth and expansion plans.”

He added: “We are confident this appointment will boost our presence in existing and new markets, continuing to empower our clients to meet their regional and global regulatory requirements.”

Commenting on his appointment, Ward said: “For me, AxiomSL’s differentiators are its impressive products, people and potential. I look forward to leveraging my global finance experience, relationships and network for the benefit of this well-established, exciting and thriving regtech company.”
