CEO of SIA resigns

Massimo Arrighetti has resigned as CEO of SIA.
Arrighetti, who is leaving the firm for personal reasons, will remain in the role until 15 June.
Nicola Cordone, deputy CEO at SIA, will replace Arrighetti.
Arrighetti joined McKinsey and Company in 1986 as a consultant until he became senior partner, managing projects for the banking sector in Italy and abroad.
In 1998, he moved to Poste Italiane as head of division of Banco Posta. Arrighetti was later appointed CEO of Poste Vita, as well as director of Postecom, Eurogiro and Banco Posta Fondi SGR.
Then in 2002, Arrighetti joined Banca Intesa as head of the Network Division. He has been CEO at SIA since May 2010.
In an announcement, SIA said: “With regret, the chairman [Giuliano Asperti] and directors accepted the decision taken by Arrighetti, and expressed to him their sincere thanks for the work he has performed during the eight years of his tenure in office, a period which saw SIA constantly grow in size to become a leading player in Europe in infrastructures and innovative payment services.”
