Vela hires new CTO

Scott Visconti has been appointed as CTO of Vela, a provider of trading and market access technology for global multi-asset electronic trading.

In his new role, Visconti will be responsible for technology strategy and will support growth and the next stage of development of Vela’s product stack, services, and processes.

Based in New York, Visconti will report to CEO, Jennifer Nayar.

Prior to Vela, Visconti co-founded MarketOpen and during his tenure at ICE/ New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Visconti served as vice president and head of NYSE Group Technology.

Visconti has also held senior roles at BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse and S&P Comstock.

He is a well-known and respected technologist in our industry and brings deep knowledge and expertise in areas including trading technology, risk management, and data analytics.”
