MUFG has appointed John Karabelas as head of institutional investor sales for the US.
Karabelas brings to the position a range of experience in business development.
In the role, Karabelas will be responsible for development, implementation and operation within the firm’s institutional investor client base.
He will report to global head of institutional investor sales, Paul Lavelle, and CEO of securities Americas, Bill Mansfield.
Commenting on the appointment, Lavelle said: “John Karabelas’s leadership skills and industry knowledge will play a critical role in propelling MUFG’s client-first strategy.”
Mansfield added: “MUFG is committed to building the momentum we have already established across our institutional investor client base, and Karabelas’s depth and breadth of experience will be a natural fit into that plan.”
