Gen II Fund Services has hired Ian Cameron as COO.
In his new role, Cameron will focus on strategic and operational responsibilities at Gen II and will report to the managing principals, Norman Leben and Steven Millner.
Since 2015, Cameron was chief financial operations officer for the Washington State Investment Board (WSIB).
While at WSIB, he led the finance and investment operations, general business support functions and responsibilities associated with his role on the executive management team.
Meanwhile, Steven Alecia, who previously held the roles of COO and CCO, will continue in his position as CCO.
Additionally, Alecia will add to his responsibilities the new position of CRO.
Alecia commented: “This new organisational model will allow me to work more closely with Gen II's clients and explore new opportunities. My number one priority will be to ensure that we continue to deliver world-class service to all of our clients."
Commenting on his appointment, Camron added: "I'm extremely pleased to be joining the Gen II team. I first met Norman Leben and Steven Millner when I was working for CGPM and have always held them and Gen II in the highest regard.”
