HSBC has appointed Gerald Noltsch as head of HSBC Securities Services (HSS) Germany, effective 1 May 2019.
Based in Dusseldorf, Noltsch will cover the German and Austrian securities services market and report to Carola von Schmettow, CEO of HSBC Germany, and Carl Andrews, regional head of Europe HSS.
Noltsch joins from BNP Paribas where he was a member of the management board and the executive committee in Germany, overseeing the German securities services business.
Noltsch also served as regional director at BNP Paribas, responsible for securities services for Germany, the Netherlands and Nordics.
Noltsch replaces Gina Slotosch, who has been appointed as head of business and commercial management for the HSS business.
In a company memo, Andrews and von Schmettow said: “Thank you to Gina Slotosch for her significant contribution during her time in the role. Please join us in welcoming Gerald Noltsch to HSBC and wishing him and Slotosch every success in their new roles.”
