Citi bolsters Japan team

Citi has appointed Akira Hoshino as head of foreign exchange and local markets for Citigroup global markets, Japan.
Hoshino will report to Kuniyoshi Hayashi, head of the markets and securities services
division and to Serge Pomonti, head of the Asia Pacific rates and currency investor sales.
His appointment is part of Citi’s aim to further strengthen its foreign exchange operations in Japan.
Hoshino has worked at MUFG Bank since 1989 and held leadership positions in various
markets businesses in Japan and overseas. His most recent role was co-head of the global markets sales and trading division at MUFG Bank.
