Regnology, a regulatory reporting software provider, has acquired CG3-1, a company specialised in regulatory calculations for US broker-dealer markets.

The acquisition aims to expand Regnology’s reach in the US, and will provide solutions for clients surrounding regulatory capital and portfolio margin requirements.

By utilising Regnology’s regulatory reporting capabilities, CG3-1 will also be able to enhance its 15c3-1 and 15c3-3 reporting solutions. This further includes solutions such as automated data sourcing and last mile reporting.

Rob Mackay, Regnology CEO, comments: “[CG3-1’s] calculation tools are recognised as the best available and will be a valuable addition to our product portfolio, enabling us to enhance our regulatory offerings for the North American market.”

President of CG3-1, Charles Greiner III, adds: “We are incredibly excited about this integration with Regnology. CG3-1 is the preeminent provider of regulatory capital technologies within the US and working with Regnology will create significant value for existing CG3-1 clients.”
