Citi appoints Caroline Chan as Hong Kong head of Securities Services

Citi has appointed Caroline Chan as Hong Kong head of Securities Services.

In her new role, Chan will lead the Hong Kong Securities Services business, providing the products and solutions needed to administer clients’ investment and issuing activities. These include custody, clearing, fund and exchange administration, and other middle office and execution services.

Chan will report to David Russell, Asia Pacific head of Securities Services, and Angel Ng, Hong Kong & Macau CEO and Citi global wealth Asia Pacific head.

Chan joined Citi in July 2011 after a lengthy legal career. With more than 20 years of experience in the fund industry, Chan has served in many jurisdictions including the UK, Ireland and Hong Kong.

She held a number of senior positions at Citi before taking on the role of Asia Pacific head of trustee and fiduciary services in 2015.

Chan will remain the Hong Kong head of trustee and fiduciary services, reporting to David Morrison, global head of depositary and fiduciary services, in this capacity.

Citi has also appointed Charles Lam as Hong Kong head of markets. Lam will be responsible for the development and implementation of product strategies, covering equities, fixed income, rates and currencies, commodities and spread products in the region.
